About Us
Founded in 1993, North Carolina MENTOR provides community-based care for at-risk youth, as well as adults and children with developmental disabilities and other complex needs.
We provide residential supports and individualized, community based services for every individual we serve. All of our programs focus on building personal relationships and maintaining community connections through services that are customized to meet the specific and changing needs of the children and adults we serve.
North Carolina MENTOR’s services for At-Risk Children and Adolescents form a comprehensive continuum of care centered around sound clinical practice and partnership with consumers and families. Services in our continuum include:
• Comprehensive Clinical Assessments
• Medication Management
• Outpatient Therapy
• Community Support/Case Management
• Intensive In-Home Services
• Day Treatment
• Therapeutic Foster Care
North Carolina MENTOR’s services for Persons With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities include:
• Targeted Case Management
• Host Homes (Alternative Family Living, or AFLs)
• Periodic CAP services, such as Home and Community Supports, Respite and Personal Care
